Criminal Law

I have done extensive work in the defense of all felony offenses, violent and non-violent, as well as misdemeanors in all New York State Supreme, County, City, Town and Village Courts.
 

I also practice extensively in Federal District Court.
 

I practice generally in Erie County with regular appearances in Niagara, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties.
 

Over the years I have defended many clients charged with felony and misdemeanor grade alcohol related driving offenses including DUI and DWI violations.
 

Based on my trial experience, I have been asked by the Erie County Bar Association’s Assigned Counsel Program to mentor new criminal defense attorneys in the area of criminal defense law.
 

I have also been asked to work with new attorneys on trial technique by having them second chair me at violent felony trials.

Real Estate

I represent the interests of buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate, and have done so for thirty plus years.
 

Rather than delegating the work, I take a very hands-on approach with the client.
 

In representing the purchaser, I am engaged in every facet of the deal, starting with the initial conference with the client, contract review, mortgage commitment, to the completion of the transfer at closing.
 

In the case of the seller, I engage in contract review, document collection, search and survey updating, title issues, through to closing.

Wills, Estates and Trusts

I consult with, and prepare on behalf of my clients, their wills, as well as any trust documents they wish to prepare.
 

I assist families in the settling of the estates of their families by providing guidance and assistance to the probate of the estate, the filing of the necessary petitions in the local surrogate court, and the appointment of the estate fiduciary.
 

By guiding fiduciaries through their obligations, we accomplish the orderly and transparent payment of all expenses of the estate, and the distribution of estate assets to the beneficiaries.

Personal Injury

I represent clients who have been injured as a result of the negligent and/or reckless conduct of others.
 

Initially I determine the viability of the civil law suit. I investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, using private investigators and/or experts as necessary, to properly prepare the case for trial.
